I am currently a GP with a special interest in medical aesthetics, and I developed this interest about 12 years ago and it’s what gets me out of bed each day since. My passion is in ‘natural results’ based aesthetics and in sticking to my ethics, values and principles as a medical practitioner first and foremost. I have been a teacher and KOL for various distributors in SA and I enjoy teaching colleagues the skills and knowledge I’ve learnt from those who taught me. My aim in being a part of the AAMSSA exec. will be to continue the immense growth and influence the organisation has achieved thus far and to ensure we stay the course as ethical practitioners. Continuing the efforts to get this field of practice recognised as perhaps a sub-speciality, will also feature prominently in my efforts.
Since 2009, I have devoted myself passionately to the field of aesthetic medicine, witnessing its remarkable growth in South Africa. Over the years, I have been actively involved in training and refining my expertise to provide the best care to patients. It fills me with immense pride to witness the progress of the AAMSSA and the unwavering support and dedication it extends to the field and its members.
Believing in a cause is not enough; action is imperative. I firmly believe that one cannot simply stand on the sidelines. Instead, I am eager to step up and contribute my skills and knowledge to help make our shared vision for the field of aesthetic medicine even more extraordinary.
Being part of the AAMSSA Executive Committee would be an incredible honour, and I am genuinely excited about the prospect of working alongside like-minded professionals. Together, we can strive to advance the field, advocate for ethical practices, and foster a sense of unity within our community.
I am committed to serving as an advocate for our members, empowering them with resources and opportunities for growth. My goal is to actively contribute to the association’s initiatives, ensuring that our field continues to evolve, flourish, and deliver the highest standards of care to our patients.
Thank you for considering my candidacy. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to be part of a body that is dedicated to making a positive impact on the field of aesthetic medicine and the lives of those we serve. Let us work together to create a truly wonderful future for our profession.
